Built by an event producer who got tired of PDF ping-pong

I'm Daniel Pitner. I run a live-event production company in Phoenix — corporate summits, galas, conferences. Which means I've spent years on the receiving end of the industry's favorite workflow: a venue PDF, marked up in five different tools, emailed around until nobody knows which version is real, and finally discovered to be wrong at load-in, when it's most expensive to fix.

The tools that were supposed to fix this got absorbed into one enterprise suite. Social Tables became Cvent Event Diagramming. Then Cvent bought Prismm — the other option — and began sunsetting it. What's left is annual contracts, per-seat pricing, and software priced for the procurement department, not the people setting the room.

EventDiagram is the tool I wanted on show site. Everything is to scale, in feet and inches, because a diagram that isn't to scale is a drawing, not a plan. The stage, the LED wall, and the drape carry their real heights, because events happen in three dimensions. Airwalls work the way ballrooms actually split. And everyone who touches the event — venue, client, caterer, AV — works from one link, without buying a seat.

The business model is the workflow's opposite number: monthly billing, published prices, open exports, and a written promise that your data leaves with you. If we're not the best tool for the job, you shouldn't be locked into us — and if we are, we don't need a contract to keep you.
