Terms of Service

Effective August 28, 2026. Plain English on purpose.

1. The service

EventDiagram is a web application for creating, sharing, and collaborating on event floor plans and diagrams (“the Service”), operated by EventDiagram (“we,” “us”), based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You're responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your email current — it's how we reach you about your account and your data.

3. Your content stays yours

Diagrams, floor plans, guest lists, and other content you upload or create remain yours. You grant us only the license needed to host, display, and process that content to run the Service — including showing shared diagrams to people you send share links to. We never sell your content, and we never use your private diagrams for marketing without your written permission. You can export your content on any plan, at any time.

4. Share links

Share links are secured by an unguessable token and are excluded from search-engine indexing, but anyone who has a link can access what it points to (subject to any email gate you enable). Treat share links like the documents they contain.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload floor plans you don't have the right to use, probe or disrupt our systems, or resell the Service without our agreement.

6. Plans, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans bill monthly or annually as shown at purchase. Monthly plans can be cancelled any time and end at the close of the billing period — there is no long-term commitment. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; changes never apply retroactively to a period you've already paid for.

7. Diagrams are planning tools

Capacities, spacing, and layout outputs are planning aids based on the dimensions and rules you or the venue provide. They are not certifications of fire-code, life-safety, accessibility, or structural compliance. Final responsibility for a safe, compliant event setup rests with the venue and the professionals executing the event.

8. Service changes and availability

We work to keep the Service available and improving, but it is provided “as is” without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. If we ever shut down

If we discontinue the Service, we will give at least 90 days' notice and keep exports available through that period. Independence and data portability are the point of this product; we hold ourselves to that on the way out too.

10. The migration guarantee

When you migrate to EventDiagram from another diagramming tool during an announced migration program, we commit in writing to: (a) concierge conversion of the agreed set of standard room plans on the stated timeline; (b) a 60-day parallel-use period with no long-term commitment; (c) full export of everything you've created, at any time, in standard formats; and (d) if you choose to roll back, your exported data and source files returned with no retention strings attached. This section is that writing.

11. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, USA. Questions: support@eventdiagram.com. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app with reasonable notice.
