How do I set up my venue and its event spaces?

Add the building once, then its event spaces with real dimensions and airwall sections. Every combination derives from there, so you never maintain a plan per combination.

Add the building once, then its event spaces with real dimensions and airwall sections. Everything downstream — capacities, combinations, floor plans — derives from that.

Get the dimensions right once and you never revisit them. Get them wrong and every plan built on top inherits the error.

Adding the venue

  1. 1Open Venues and use Add a venue by name — type the hotel, resort or conference center.
  2. 2Published capacity charts and floor plans are read and turned into spaces for you to review before anything is created.
  3. 3Or choose the manual route and enter the building yourself.

Adding event spaces

  1. 1Use Add space on the venue.
  2. 2Enter real width, depth and ceiling height — ceiling matters for rigging and for the 3D view.
  3. 3If it is divisible, add the airwall sections along the axis they split.
  4. 4Mark back-of-house areas as not bookable so they are never metered and never reach a public capacity chart.

What you get for it

My venue becomes a front door to every space and every derived combination, each ready to lay out. A property with three event spaces, one of them divisible into four, yields a dozen usable floor plans without drawing any of them twice.
