Your first diagram

0:03Let's build one from scratch. From Storage — or from inside any event — the button is New diagram.

0:10The first question is where. Your venues, if it's your own property — or the venue directory, if you're planning at somebody else's.

0:18Pick the property, and then pick the room.

0:25It pre-fills the name with the room, which is rarely what you want. Name it for the setup instead — future you is going to be scanning a list of these.

0:34And file it. This is a brand new booking, so I'll create the event right here instead of hunting for it first.

0:40Create diagram.

0:56And there's the room. Sixty feet by forty, drawn to scale, with a one-foot grid underneath it.

1:02Bottom left is the scale bar, so you always know what you're looking at. Bottom right are two live counters — objects placed, and total seats. Keep an eye on those.

1:12The left rail is your toolset. Objects is the library — everything you can put in the room.

1:19You can browse by category, or just search for what you want.

1:22Click the item to pick it up, then click the room to put it down.

1:27The chairs came with it. Eight around a sixty-inch round, arranged automatically — and the counters moved with it.

1:34Keep clicking to keep placing. The tool stays armed until you press Escape.

1:39And it's already saved. There's no save button — it writes as you work, and it will stop you from overwriting someone else's changes if two of you have it open.
